Business Development Associate
Expand Learning Solutions provides customer-focused computer training solutions for our business clients in the Intermountain West. With over 21 years of business experience, we are committed to our Customers, the Student and our employees.
At Expand Learning Solutions, we are looking for a part or full-time business development associate; building customer relationships and selling software and IT training solutions to strategic customers and other business accounts.
While this is an entry level position, there is significant opportunity to grow and develop commensurate with ability and merit. This may include salary, benefits package, leadership and ownership opportunities.

Base Pay: $12.00 hour
Other Pay: Commissions based on Revenues and Margins

Travel: >10%, Local Business appointments when necessary

Developing training and learning partnerships with large accounts
Servicing and maintaining existing major and strategic accounts
Selling computer training solutions to large and medium sized companies, including;
Standard Desktop Applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and Adobe
Information Technology, such as Windows Server, Microsoft Sharepoint, SQL, Cisco, Citrix and many others
Business Skills, such as Time Management, Managing Others, etc.
Interact with High-level CFO, CLO, CTO personnel, HR and IT managers, as well as individual students
Knowledge and Skills
Basic selling skills:
Establishes rapport, determines customer needs, relates benefits to product features, handles objections, and closes. Guides and directs clients to the right course based on their needs.
Strategic selling skills:
Listens beyond product needs and establishes a vision of a client-vendor relationship that supports the strategic direction of both organizations.
Involves others in decision that will affect them, encourages participation of key stakeholders in problem solving, and develops breakthrough ideas and solutions
Has basic computer skills for application to prospecting and marketing programs, including customer contact and customer management
Possesses expertise related to Expand Learning Solutions products and services as well as crucial aspects of the business.
Anticipates problems, invites ideas, distinguishes symptoms from causes, creates proposals, and implements solutions
Understands the financial impact of decisions on the client, the client’s customer, and Expand Learning Solutions
Understands market trends and the implications of those trends for the industry, customers, markets and the competition
Understands the factors that affect an industry’s potential for profitability and growth and a company’s competitive position, and how this information is used to determine the strategic direction and annual business plan for the company.
Minimum 1- 3 years successful direct sales experience in technology, training, software or adjacent industries
Bachelor's degree preferred, but commensurate work experience acceptable
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
Demonstrate a successful track record in previous sales job
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, analytical, problem-solving skills,
Experience with consultative sales methodology preferred
Ability to sell in a team environment
Strong computer literacy is a must
