If you wish to cancel or reschedule a class for which you have been confirmed registered, Expand Learning Solutions will make every effort to accommodate your request. However, since this incurs additional costs and significant inconvenience, Expand Learning Solutions has a specific cancellation policy.
All cancellation requests require written notification subject to the following timeline:
Public Microsoft Office classes (excluding VBA) require notice at least 5 business days prior to class.
Public Business Skill classes require notice at least 5 business days before class.
Public Adobe, Technical (including VBA), Project Management, Six Sigma or Private classes require notice at least 10 business days before class.
Please email your written cancellation notification to or send your cancellation letter to Expand Learning Solutions, c/o Cancellations, 1444 West 2200 South, West Valley City, Utah 84119.
If you fail to notify Expand Learning Solutions by timeline outlined above, you will be invoiced 50% of the total price of the class.
If you fail to attend a class (“No-Show”) without notifying our office in writing prior to the class you will be invoiced 100% of the total price of the class.
Students may choose to pay full price for the class instead of the cancellation fee and take the same class when it is scheduled again subject to the retake policy below.
All fees associated with a cancellation or a No-Show are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Any courseware associated with canceled classes will be available to you upon the full payment of your invoice.
Private classes not canceled with the appropriate time frame/deadline will be invoiced 100% of the total price.
If you need to cancel and reschedule a registration for a public class, please contact the Registration Department at or call 801-561-8511. We will make every effort to accommodate your request.
Private class rescheduling will be considered on a case by case basis. If we are able to accommodate rescheduling a private class, a rescheduling fee will be charged (no less than 50% of the contracted rate) to cover instructor fees and any other fee costs associated with rescheduling.
Provided that your account is current and all invoices have been paid, you may retake any class for which you have previously attended. Any retake is subject to the following provisions:
You can retake the class for the catalog life of the class.
You own and can provide the current manual.
There is seating availability in the class you wish to retake.
You may be bumped at any time in order to accommodate paying students.
Expand Learning Solutions reserves the right to cancel or move any class. In the unlikely event that your training course does not take place after your booking has been confirmed in writing, Expand Learning Solutions will make every effort to reschedule the course. If a cancellation occurs, Expand Learning Solutions will contact you and offer you an alternative date to reschedule the course. If rescheduling the course is not possible, Expand Learning Solutions will refund your fees.
Self-Paying Individual Student Applicants
A three-business-day cooling-off period, commencing with the day an enrollment agreement with the applicant is signed or an initial deposit or payment toward tuition and fees of the institution is made, until midnight of the third business day following such date or from the date that the student first visits the institution, whichever is later, during which time the contract may be rescinded and all monies paid refunded. Evidence of personal appearance at the institution or deposit of a written statement of withdrawal for delivery by mail or other means shall be deemed as meeting the terms of the cooling-off period.
A student enrolled in an correspondence course may withdraw from enrollment following the cooling-off period, prior to submission by the student of any lesson materials or prior to receipt of course materials, whichever comes first, and effective upon deposit of a written statement of withdrawal for delivery by mail or other means, and the institution shall be entitled to retain no more than $200 in tuition or fees as registration charges or an alternative amount that the institution can demonstrate to have been expended in preparation for that particular student’s enrollment.
After the three-business-day cooling-off period or after a student enrolled in a correspondence institution has submitted lesson materials or been in receipt of course material, the self paying student will be subject to the full cancellation policy contained herein. Nevertheless, and to the extent possible, Expand Learning will work with individual students who wish to cancel outside the three day cooling off period to grant a full or partial refund of fees paid.
A pay-as-you learn payment schedule that limits a student's prospective contractual obligation(s), at any one time, to the institution for tuition and fees to four months of training, plus registration or start up costs not to exceed $200 or an alternative amount the institution can demonstrate to have spent in undertaking a student's instruction.
